Description Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) initially affects central vision with a central scotoma on automated visual field (AVF). As LHON progresses, AVF usually reveals a shift of the scotoma, possibly as a compensatory strategy. We sought to quantify the shift in eccentric fixation using both color fundus photograph and AVF in affected LHON patients.
