Description Optic nerve head drusen (ONHD) are thought to be related to axonal metabolism and degeneration.[1]The pathogenesis of vision loss from ONHD is not well understood. We have developed a multi-shot, high resolution, rapid, artifacts minimized, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) acquisition.[2-4]We postulate that ONHD cause significant changes in diffusion indices and anticipate the sensitivity to detect differences between healthy volunteers and ONHD patients.
