Description Using a magnetic search coil we studied the eyelid movements of six patients with isolated unilateral facial paralysis. The patients included 2 males and 4 females between the ages of 25 and 40. The etiology in 4 cases was unknown (Bell's palsy), in one case due to diabetes and in one case was due to Lyme disease.
