Description Three women, aged 37 to 40 years with symptoms of ocular migraine were evaluated. Each reported monocular visual symptoms described either as a generalized blurring of abrupt onset or frequent multiple negative scotomata of duration varying two weeks to three years. Examination disclosed for the affected eye visual acuity to be mildly impaired in each patient, color vision to be minimally diminished in one patient and visual field to be constricted with a relative nerve fiber layer defect in two patients. Pupillary function, intraocular pressure, slit lamp and funduscopic examinations were normal. Serum studies included normal chemistry channel20 profile, complete blood and platelet counts, sedimentation rate, nonreactive serology and negative antinuclear antigen and lupus anticoagulant values.
