A case of "malignant" papilledema in a 20-year-old achondroplastic dwarf is presented and discussed. At the age of three he received aventriculo-per'rtoneal shunt for suspected hydrocephalus. Until the age of nine multiple revisions were necessary. Hydrocephalus was never documented but liquor pressure was repeatedly elevated. An eye examination in February 91 revealed VA of 20/20 and normal fundus OU. |
