Description |
The key feature in the management of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is deciding whether or not there is progressive visual loss. It is essential that the neuroophthalmologist have an understanding of how to detect the earliest signs of progression, so that therapeutic strategies can be manipulated accordingly. This discussion will center around the various modalities available to establish progression or remission of the disease as it affects visual function. Electrophysiologic and psychophysical methods will be discussed. |
