Description |
The popular press has reported on a peculiar syndrome of functional visual loss in immigrant Cambodian females. Dissociation, conversion symptoms, and posttraumatic stress syndrome have been reported at a high incidence in this population. Minnesota and Wisconsin have the highest population of Hmong immigrant outside of California and this vision loss syndrome has surfaced in these people also. However, males are affected, also, contrary to previous reports. |
