Title Different Mechanisms of Central Retinal Artery Occlusion
Creator Thomas R. Hedges
Subject Central Retinal Artery Occlusion; Color Doppler Imaging; Orbital Circulation Clinical Investigations; Nonarteritic Central Retinal Artery Occlusion
Description Recent technological advances in color Doppler imaging (CD!) with spectral analysis have made it possible to perform detailed clinical investigations of the orbital circulation. We applied CD! to study the pathophysiology of nonarteritic central retinal artery occlusion, (CRAO). Orbital and carotid circulations in eight cases of acute CRAO were studied with CD I.
