This study was undertaken to investigate the effect of postgeniculate lesions on the pupillary light reflex. The pupil responses to focal, hemifield, and full field light stimuli were recorded in 5 patients with occipital lobe infarcts. These responses were compared to those previously recorded from 50 normal subjects and 5 patients with optic tract lesions. A computerized infrared pupillometer linked to a Humphrey field analyzer was used to perform 'pupil perimetry'. |
