Description Three patients with documented amblyopia and decreased vision were treated with a polarizing filter taped over the patients' regular glasses. Visual acuity of the good eye while wearing the filter was not affected in any of the patients. A 65 year old female with a lifelong history of 20/1 00-20/200 vision improved to 20/25 over two months. Contrast sensitivity improved and the RAPD decreased.
