Description A lesion in the most anterior portion of the striate cortex and/or in the optic radiation projecting to this cortical area will produce a monocular visual field defect affecting the temporal crescent of the contralateral eye. This well known phenomenon is mentioned in every perimetry text book, but actual case reports are exceedingly rare.
