Creator McHenry, John G; Spoor, Thomas C; Nemeth, Gabor G; Jordan, Curtis A
Subject Optic Nerve Sheath Decompression; Pseudotumor Cerebri
Description Although optic nerve sheath decompression is associated with a 7 6% success rate at 6 months, the long-term success rate falls 10 38% at 5 years. We have previously performed logistic regression analysis on the subgroup of patients with early failure and found that this group's failure is associated with perioperative intravenous corticosteroid therapy and poor preoperative visual acuity.
