Description It has been suggested that optic nerve sheath decompression is an effective treatment for progressive anterior ischemic optic neuropathy. It is WtClear why some patients improve following optic nerve sheath decompression. Because of this phenomenon, we examined the relationship between intranerve sheath subarachnoid fluid and anterior ischemic optic neuropathy and improvement in visual acuity following optic nerve sheath decompression.
