Description Homonymous horizontal sectoranopia has been described in lesions involving the lateral geniculate nucleus (LGN) and the optic radiations. However, confusion has arisen after a case of an ischemic infarction in the occipital cortex was reported to show a "horizontal homonymous sectoral field defect" in which the central field was spared.
