Description |
Optic nerve sheath (ONS) meningioma is an uncommon location of meningioma. Management historically has been observation with surgery after vision loss, aggressive resection, and in a limited number of tumors, irradiation has been utilized to preserve visual function. Involvement of the anterior visual pathway has been shown to be associated with a high risk of progression after resection and surgical management of orbital nerve sheath tumors is associated with poor visual outcome. |
