Functional MRI (fMRI) is a non-invasive method to image human brain activity associated with a sensory, motor, or cognitive behavior (1-6). Different kinds of tasks elicit activation of various brain regions of the individual. For example, a map of visual cortex can be generated from fMRI scans, during which a person receives visual stimulation (Fig. 1). |
