Description |
The Utah Artificial Vision Project (UAVP) is a multidisciplinary effort to explore and implement the use of direct occipital lobe stimulation in order to provide useful visual information to blind humans. There are numerous advantages to the strategy of stimulation of the occipital lobe, but also numerous technical hurdles. Early results from primates and human support the validity of the concept. |
