Description Many infectious and noninfectious inflammatory conditions of the eye are characterized by the development of white spots in the retina and choroid. After thorough investigations for systemic diseases and infectious causes there are a variety of apparent autoimmune inflammatory diseases that are idiopathic and are called the white-spot syndromes.
