Description Lesion damage at the chiasm is usually assessed using visual fields obtained from Humphrey automated perimetry. Pupillometry may also provide an independent measure of chiasmal damage in these patients. The percentage of fibers from each eye crossing in the optic chiasm can be calculated using a model of the pupillary light reflex pathway. In this study we attempt to correlate the deficits in pupil function with visual field loss in a group of patients with chiasmal lesions.
