Description Paraneoplastic central nervous system syndromes represent the remote, secondary neurologic effects of cancer, which are manifested in the absence of metastasis or direct tumor involvement. Unilateral Adie's pupil, involvement of the optic or the sixth cranial nerve, and uveitis have been described in isolation in patients with paraneoplastic syndromes.
