Electroretinogram; Visual Evoked Responses |
Description |
VEPs and full-field ERGs are often obtained in patients with unexplained visual loss. Although it is well documented that the VEP can be altered voluntarily, and therefore can lead to the incorrect diagnosis of organic rather than functional visual loss, the ERG is considered to be altered only when there is true retinal disease. |
