Description Previous studies have shown that the Amide II wavelength (6.45 mm) produced by the free electron laser (FEL) can effectively create an optic nerve sheath fenestration (ONSF) in rabbits and monkeys. The FEL has also been used to perform ONSF in humans undergoing enucleation. We have been developing an orbital endoscope for use with the FEL.
