Title Danazol Associated Intracranial Hypertension in Biological Sisters
Creator Pepin, Susan; Davis, Garrett
Subject danazol; intracranial hypertension; papilledema
Description Danazol use associated Intracranial Hypertension has been reported previously in case studies. We report here two cases of biological sisters receiving danazol for hereditary angioedema, and their development of pseudotumor cerebri. Both sisters had resolution of their pseudotumor cerebri symptoms after discontinuing danazol use. These cases give evidence supporting the discontinuation of danazol use in patients who present with intracranial hypertension.
