Optic neuropathy is often assigned as a diagnosis of exclusion in patients with otherwise unexplained visual loss and subtle retinal abnormalities. In many cases electroretinography (ERG) testing may aid in diagnosis. The purpose of this study is to identify common clinical characteristics in patients with presumed optic neuropathies who harbor occult retinal disease. |
