Description |
There have been 21 reports of cystic lesions in Meckel's cave. Seven were found on imaging for unrelated symptoms and 14 were found in investigation of related symptoms, including diplopia trigeminal neuralgia or numbness, and cerebrospinal fluid leakage. Surgical findings of symptomatic lesions suggest that they are cystic evaginations of arachnoid or arachnoid and dura, called 'petrous apex cephacoeles' (PACs). |
