Description Optic disc examination is important to the clinical evaluation of patiencs with multiple sclerosis (MS). Optical coherence tomography (OCT) and other imaging techniques have made possible the non-invasive measurement of the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) as well as optic disc parameters that may reflect axonal loss. We sought to examine characteristics of the optic disc by OCT in MS, and to identifier measurements that best correlate with RNFL thickness and visual function.
