Description Recent reports have described a linear correlation between retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and visual field threshold for glaucomatous optic neuropathy (GON) and anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (AION). Such a relationship between RNFL structure and visual field function has not been previously investigated for patients with recovered optic neuritis (ON).
