Description |
Giant cell arteritis (GCA) is an inflammatory granulomatous vasculitis that affects large and medium sized arteries [1-3]. GCA typically affects the aortic arch and its branches, but almost any vessel may be involved including the extra-cranial vertebral, superficial temporal, posterior ciliary and ophthalmic arteries [1, 2, 4]. |
