History An 11-year old male with signs of an optic nerve tumor. At transfrontal craniotomy the tumor was seen to extend from the globe, through the optic canal and up to, but not including, the chiasm. At 20, 23, and 24 years of age there were three additional recurrences of the tumor - all of which required surgery.
