Student’s Age 16 Date: 5-11-20 SCHOOL Ben Lomand How did you feel when you learned that schools would close because of the COVID-19 pandemic? I felt worried because i would miss my friends and because i didnt know if i would be able to keep up with all the work and stop procasinating. What do you like the most about online school? You can be home and don’t have to go to school/ wake up early. What do you dislike the most about online school? Alot of work and its hard for me to stay motivated and find time to do work. What do you miss the most about school? Seeing my friends and getting out of my house. How are you connecting with your school friends during the pandemic? Social media. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES What activities did you do before the pandemic? (Sports, music, dance, etc. Please be specific.) Drivers Ed. Are you continuing to do them now? If so, how? Do you use a virtual platform? Do you do them as you did before? They’re stopped until we go back. What do you miss most about doing these activities in person? That i didn't finish it so i cant get my license yet. What do you like most about doing activities online? In some cases its easier to do things online. FAMILY AND HOME What questions do you have about the pandemic? When are we going back to school? What has changed the most in your home because of the pandemic? We’re all home most of the time How do you spend your free time at home? Youtube, Netflix, Social media, etc... How have you stayed connected to extended family? How has this changed your relationships? My family hasn’t really been practicing social distancing so i still see my family. Nothing has changed. Are you learning new skills because of the pandemic? (Cooking, babysitting, house chores, arts, crafts, etc.?) If so, what are they? No... SOCIETY How has the pandemic affected your community? How has it affected our state? The shortage of supplies that was going on affected alot of people because the supplies were hard to find when needed. How do you think the pandemic might impact your life in the future? If i keep on procastinating on school work... What strengths and weaknesses in our society are being exposed by the pandemic? We weren’t prepared for this... In which ways has the pandemic affected the economy? I don’t know... What do you want future generations to know about what it’s like to experience a pandemic?
