UHS Harvest Ball

These photographs were taken for the 1939-1940 edition of the Uintah High School Yearbook. Both of the following photographs are on page 84. The photo on the left is of the queen and king of the Harvest Ball. From left to right: Donna Mecham (queen) and Evan Woolley (king). Both students were in their junior year. The photo on the right is of the queen and king being crowned at the Harvest Ball. Donna Mecham is being crowned queen on the left. Evan Woolley is being crowned king on the right. The other students are unidentified. The harvest ball was an event given by the Agricultural and Home Economics Clubs. The election of a king was new to the 1939-1940 school year.
