UHS 1940 Basketball Team

The photographs were taken for the 1993-1940 edition of the Uintah High School Yearbook. The subject of the page is the Boys' Basketball team. Top row from left to right: Neldon Walker (captain), K. Workman, and B. King. Center row from left to right: G. Anderson, W. Anderson, and H. Walker. Bottom row from left to right: J. Urie, E. Sundquist, and N. Remington. The side column on the right, from top to bottom: L. Eaton, W. Eaton, C. Hoslop, and E. Johnston. The captain, Neldon Walker, was said to be "an exceptional leader...[and] also was an outstanding player in every game." The team as a whole was described as "a fine bunch of players." All the aforementioned photographs are located on page 24 of the Uintah High School 1939-1940 yearbook.
