| Description |
Photograph of Captain Adoniram J. Austin. He arrived in Utah as First Sergeant for Company K Third California Infantry, one of the companies that established Camp Douglas in October 1862. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in Company I Third California Infantry in May 1863 and joined his new company at Fort Bridger. He and his company were transferred back to Camp Douglas in August 1864. He was mustered out of the service in 1866. |
