Description Photograph of Colonel Robert Pollock (c1820-1901). He was commissioned as Lieutenant Colonel of the Third California Infantry in 1861 and was promoted to Colonel of the regiment in 1863. He arrived at Camp Douglas, Utah, in June 1863 and served as post commander until September 1864. With the consolidation of his regiment, he was mustered out in November 1864 and departed Camp Douglas the following month for San Francisco.
