Leaon T. Ainge Recognized by Forest Service

The district forest ranger of the Vernal Ranger District of Ashley Forest (Thomas H. Sevy) presented a $50 check to Leaon T. Ainge in recognition of his efficient work as a leader with the U.S. Forest Service. Leaon T. Ainge began working for the Forest Service in September 1903. A cropped version of this same photograph was used in the Vernal express in 1971-02-11 for an article on Thomas H. Sevy's funeral 5 months later. Thomas (Tom) Sevy died February 7, 1971 of a massive heart attack. He had served as a public forester for 28-years. Sevy was born August 14, 1916 in Richfield. He was the son of Jon L. and May Houston Sevy. He married Donna Morris July 10, 1941 in Las Vegas.
