Title A Novel Trial Design to Test Latanoprost in Optic Disc Drusen
Creator Jesse Gale, Paul Kim, Anthony Wells
Subject Diagnostic Tests (ERG, VER, OCT, HRT, mfERG, etc); Optic Neuropathy
Description Optic disc drusen (ODD) form just anterior to the lamina cribrosa, which implicates a translaminar pressure gradient in their origin. This novel registered clinical trial used electrophysiology before and after one month of latanoprost treatment, to see whether a change in intraocular pressure (IOP) caused a change in estimates of ganglion cell stress.
