Subject Skull Base; Tumors
Description Benign skull base tumours, including meningiomas and pituitary tumours, commonly present with visual symptoms caused by compression of the optic nerves, chiasm and/or tracts. One of the major indications for radiotherapy and/or surgery is to rescue vision. The aim of this study was to determine which vision tests best predicted post-operative visual outcome. We also determined which vision tests best predicted whether patients would meet UK visual standards for driving, based on specific thresholds for visual acuity and binocular visual field.
