Neuromyelitis optica(NMO) and Myelin oligodendrocyte (MOG) antibody associated optic neuropathy are inflammatory demyelinating diseases that rarely affect the elderly. We present 2 elderly patients who presented with acute onset vision loss that was initially mistaken for ischemic optic neuropathy but subsequently diagnosed with NMO and MOG. |
