Description Neuromyelitis optica (NMO) is an inflammatory, demyelinating CNS disorder characterized by concurrence of optic neuritis with longitudinally extensive myelitis with a highly sensitive &specific biomarker AQP4 -IgG antibody. NMO has been previously reported with HIV infection.
