They have also provided a big picture window looking out to the street. Because of this modification the house is no longer eligible for the NRHP. A large outbuilding is located to the south of the main house, its age is undetermined but it appears to be in-period. A large tree in the front ofthe house prevents better photographs showing the extent of the modifications. The home at 5564, has served as the Wolf resident for nearly 100 , years. Arthur G. Wolf moved into the adobe lined-clay brick home which was built on round granite rock. The rafters are made of rough cut 2/4 wood beams. Mr. Wolf worked for the Boston Con which later 5540 South 300 West became known as Utah Copper and the Kennecott Copper. Two generations have since owned the house including 3rd generation grandson Oyde Wolf Jr. The home at 5540 was occupied by the Spraitlings and later purchased by the Wolfs as a rental unit. |
