HOLLADAY 4766 SOUTH HOLLADAY BOULEVARD (18-2342, P) This two-story home was originally the George A. Boyes Home, one of the first Harmon bishops in the Holladay area. This house was buil t in 1884 by or for Hr. Boyes. Ann Taylor, John Taylor's sister, was Mr. Boyes wife. After the Boyes' died, his son, Joseph, lived in the home. It is presently occupied by Mr . Steve Mason. The stru~ture stucco. is adobe brick and coated with a gray The window sills and frames are mede of.wood. From the outside, the house appears to be in -excellent condition. 2. 5714 SOUTH HOLLADAY BOULEVARD (18-2727, P) Mr. J. J. Keyser buil t this house in 1902 or 1904 for _ himself. During World War II, the building was . used to house officers stationed at Fort Douglas. In 1954, the Carmal- ite Sisters (Roman Catholic) purchased the house for use as a convent. The two-story structure has foundations and first story walls. cobble-rock The upper floor has been covered with aluminum siding. The o r i g i na l furnishin gs o f the home are sti l l i n u se by Mr . and Mrs. Hin e r , the caretakers . 6 The house was built of brick and then stuccoed. 4. 6198 SOUTH HOLL ADAY BOULEVARD (183209 - 001, P) The Knudsen-Silver home was built in 1905 according to records in the Salt Lake County Assessors Office. Mrs. Silver, forme r O\Y.ler and mother of John R. Silve r v7ho is the present o\mer, said that the house is at least seventyfive plus years old. Hr. Knudsen originally homesteaded the area in the late 1800's and built the house sometime before 1900. The two-story brick-adobe lined structure is in excellent condition. been done.
