Goodman The geraniums in the sun room, the peonies on the garden path are In tull bloom, the fitly-yearold frees are in tull leaf, the pasture is greener than ever, but Ma~ will not be coming home to enjoy them. Marjorie Rosenblatt Goodman died Sunday moming; June 21, 1998, at the University Hospital after a long battle against a disease most of us had never heard of-Giant Cell Arteritis. Ma~ was bom August 3,1917, in Salt lake City to Morris and Mollie Rcr L_--,"':::=-_ _iJ senblatt, attended local grammar schools and graduated from East High and Rorand Hall. She attended Wellesly College and Stanford University, graduating from Stanford with a bachelo(s degree in English Uterolure. She was long active in Utah affairs, she was a member of tfie Utah State Mental Health Boord, the Sarah Daft Home, and Oakwood School P.T.A. 5he was a board member of the Art Bom, the Utah Fine Arts Council, and the Share Food Pantry. She was an ac~ve member of The Temple B'nai Israel Sisterhood. She was a generous supporter of the University of Utah Hospital, Bollet West, the Utah Symphony, and the Salva~onArmy. She married Jack Goodman, a joumalist, on . May 10, 1942. Their children are Nathaniel, Kathryn (Hudson) Reynolds, San Antonio, Fl; and Jean Evelyn (Jamesl Boilard, Carpinteria, CA. . Grandchildren are Jil and Emily Bollard, Hudson and Morris Reynolds. Survivors also Include brother, Donald (Jacqueline) Rosenblatt, Salt lake City; cousins, Borbara Bumett, Esther landa, and Bemard (Sally) Rosentiatt; uncle and aunt, Joseph and Evelyn Rosenblatt. The family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff at the University Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contnbutions to the University of Utah Mealcal Center. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 1998 at Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South with Rabbi Fredenck Wenger offi. elating.
