Show I Hi COLMDENTS urges OF I Principal Homer Believes Influenza H Danger is Now Negligible Matter Here. IH B. A. C. HAS BEEN RUNNING SMOOTHLY ALL WEEK fl fl Attendance Is Increasing and No New Cases Have Developed Little Chance of the "Flu" Getting a Further Foothold Now. It cannot be too strongly urged upon every student who has registered at the College this year, to return at an early date. Danger from tho flu has now become almost a negligible matter, for tho reason that thero aro only a few families in Cedar that have not had it and those who have had it aro not, to any extent, taking it ngnin. Wo feel fully justified in urging all to return. There is always somo danger from contagious disease, accidents. etc., but we do not bclicvo that there is more danger now than in ordinary times. It has been said that "fear nullifies thousands who would have been great had they not been cowards." Let us not be so fearful that we cannot keep tho channels open that supply the life Btrcam of the community when the danger is not overgrent. HM H H H M H H f , H H H H H H . H H H H H H H ,.., $ The big thing to keep in mind is that it is just as important to consolidate again as it is to make it in the first place. Tho difference between tho gains that the Americans made in penetrating the Hindcnburg line and the gains that the Allies had made prior to 1918, was that the Americans held their gnins whereas in the earHer efforts German counter attacks always swept offensive movements back. Tho gaining of an education in thenres.ent day is considerable of a task; too much otVtaBk'to'warrnntpwii throwing any of our efforts away. Wo are now in tho midst of tho second quarter. Surely there arc few indeed who are retarded in such a way that it would pay them to stop now and throw away the credits that have been in part gained. Surely wisdom would suggest even to those who must discontinue in the spring, that it would be butter to finish the quarter. Initiation, consolidation and fruition are a trinity that go naturally together. Attendance lias been doubled during the week and thu careful inspection service that has been maintained has not developed a single new case. Evidently the flu is well on the wane.
