Show By Kasey Closson When the virus spread to the U.S, the government requested that Americans should practice social distancing in order to help stop the spreading. This news made my family go into a complete panic and they immediately went to the grocery store and bought enough groceries to last a year. My mom was super worried about me living in my apartment in the city, so she had me move back home. Within a few days, my apartment was completely empty and all my roommates had moved back home as well. With the University shutting down the campus and making all in‐person classes online, I had no idea what to do with my life. My cheer season was unexpectedly ended and I was so upset. Now I wouldn't be seeing my team every day or cheering at any more events. I then had to figure out a new daily routine that would help me stay on top of schoolwork while feeling productive. To say the least, I still haven't figured that out yet. My sleep schedule is all over the place meaning some days I'll go to bed around midnight and wake up around 11:00 am. While other days I'll fall asleep at 4:00 in the morning and wake up at 2:00 in the afternoon. As far as homework goes, I have been really good at getting everything done on time. Adjusting to social distancing has affected my everyday life significantly and has definitely taken some getting used to. |
