Show STURDY YOUTH YIELDS TO "FLIP-PNEUMONIA Clarence II home. Husky Son of Mr. and Mrs. S. L. lleyborne, Victim of Deadly Plague. Clarence lleyborne, the grown son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L lleyborne, of this city, died of at the home of his parents last Monday, Nov. 25, ufter an illness of ;: week. It is reported that he made a upluudid recovury irum the attack of influenza proper, getting around too soon, and that pneumonia developed with the fatal results above stat- influenza-pneumonia , ed. I I ; i , ' Clarence was 21 years old nnd come within the Registration of Sept. 12 for military service. When given his physical examination by the locul board he was pronounced to be one of the two finest physical specimens examined in this county, the other being Ashton Jones. But it seems to be this type of splendid young manhood that the fntal "flu" siezes upon for its victims. Mr. and Mrs. Heyltorne nre severlv racked with grief at the loss of their splendid son, and have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their bitter bereavement. The funerul services were held at the residence Tuesday, the speakers being M. H. Dalley, Dr. Macfnrlane, Bp. Wm. Palmer. The singing was furnished by local talent. |
