Description Ischaemic stroke secondary to giant cell arteritis (GCA)-related intracranial vasculitis is rare. Asymptomatic unilateral optic nerve head oedema is not typically associated with GCA. We present a case of a 72-year-old man with persistent asymptomatic unilateral optic nerve head oedema for 11 months prior to diagnosis of GCA-related intracranial vasculitis.
