Final Score The Utes had two first place finishes and several outstanding performances. Sophomore Audrey Kiser placed first in the open weight throw division. Her throw of 54' 9.75" moves her into second place on Utah's all-time top-performance list. Chantel Goldsberry was fifth (50' 9.50"). Kiser also placed fifth in the open shot put (43' 1.50"). Freshman Nephi Tyler collected his second consecutive win of the season running the open mile race in 4:17.64 seconds. Sophomore Teren Jameson placed fifth in the mile invite with a time of 4:13.05. Jameson moves into Utah's record books ranked fourth in the mile run. Utah had three top-ten finishes in the 3,000 meter open. Travis Hildebrand placed second (8:44.77), Adam Stark finished fifth (8:54.05) and Lion Gallegos placed seventh (8.56.77). Chris Merkley finished fourth in the 3,000 meter invite with at time of 8:29.31. Utah's three pentathletes placed in the top-ten in their first outing of the season. Shanae Nixon placed fourth (3,220 pts.), Erianne Allen placed sixth (3,173 pts.) and Kristy Slade finished 10th (3.076). The men's distance relay team accomplished their goal by breaking the school record. They placed second with a time of 10:05.61.
