Final Score The Utes had three athletes compete in the 5,000-meter run for the first time this season, all recording times close to their personal bests. Junior Shaylen Crook led this group after recording a time of 17:21.17 to claim 59th. Senior Kate Stringfellow finished second for the Utes and 64th overall with a time of 17:25.34. Jocelyn Todd also competed for the Utes, placing 67th overall with a time of 17:29.19. Sarah Feeny led the Utah track and field team at the Husky Classic on Saturday, as she broke the school record in the 3,000-meter run. Feeny's time of 9:13.87 in the 3,000 broke a 33-year-old school record, previously held by Jill Molen (9:15.81 aa). She finished 21st overall. Senior Nikki Rietz crossed the finish line in 69th with a time of 9:49.19. Becky Sarmiento placed 74th (10:00.56). Jessica Sams competed unattached, recording a time of 9:38.79 for 60th. The 800-meter run featured two Utes competing. Leading the charge for the Utes was senior Ali Eisenbeiss, capturing 20th overall with a time of 2:08.63. Allison Aafedt placed 42nd with a personal-best time of 2:12.91. Senior Andrea Chavez competed unattached and placed 14th overall. Chavez's time of 2:05.19 was fast enough to qualify her for the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships later this year. Grace Engund also competed unattached, where she recorded a personal-best time of 2:11.70 for 33rd. In the mile, Hannah McInturff claimed 29th with a time of 4:50.53. Sadie Wassum recorded another Utah personal best with a time of 4:57.23 for 53rd. Caitie Faust placed 71st overall.
