Final Score In the 400, the Utes demonstrated the strength of their sprinters capturing the top three spots. Capturing the event title for the Utes was junior Rhianna Williams, recording a time 57.14 seconds. Right on her heels was redshirt senior Ali Eisenbeiss with a time of 57.91 seconds. Christine Van Brocklin earned third in 58.27 seconds; posting an impressive performances at the Jackson's Open with four event titles, including a 1-2-3 sweep in the 400 meters. The 500 featured another Utah event title, as well as two others in the top five. Senior Allison Aafedt led the way for the Utes, capturing first with a time of 1:18.66. True freshman Caitlin Faust placed second (1:20.58) and Dakota Grossman finished fifth (1:24.17). The third Ute to claim an event title was junior Makenzie Clark in the 800. Clark was the sole Ute to compete in the 800, finishing in first place with a time of 2:18.92. Rounding out the list of Utah event titles was the 4x400 relay team. Comprised of Mesa Weidle, Van Brocklin, Eisenbeiss and Aafedt, this group finished in 3:53.53, five seconds ahead of the second-place team. Competing in her first meet as a Ute, Eliza Hansen earned fourth in the high jump after clearing a distance of 5 feet, 3 inches. Representing Utah in the triple jump was junior Courtney Jost, leaping a distance of 38 feet, 0.25 inches to place third. The 300-meter sprint featured two Utes duking it out for second-place. Neck-in-neck down the final stretch, sophomore Madison Lanford was able to inch out Weidle by less than a half second to secure second place (39.65 seconds). Weidle recorded a time of 39.91 seconds to earn third.
