Metal panels cover the upper facade and most of the windows. The cornice has been removed, a metal overhang has been added at the lower facade, the entrances have been reworked, and rebricked. Julius Jensen had first started in the jewelry business with T. N. Taylor in 1885. When Taylor bought him out after a few years, Jensen opened his own jewelry business on Academy Avenue. About 1910 Jensen moved his business into this two-story building (#184) which had replaced an older one-story structure. Jensen lived in the second story apartment. Other businesses (Provo Consolidated Real Estate Co.) occupied the other half~ About 1923 the Jensen business was taken over by Kenneth Decker who also moved his family into the building. Within the next two years his wife Adeline had opened a beauty shop in the other half of the building.
